History


According to the initiative of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, the president of Republic of Kazakhstan, concerning the creation of the Eurasian economic club of scientists, first mentioned at the St.-Petersburg economic forum in June of 2007, the Ministry of Economic and budget planning of Republic Kazakhstan and JSC " Economic Research Institute " held the expanded session of Organizational committee on creation of " Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists " Association” on April 18 2008 with participation of outstanding scientists representing 9 states of Eurasian region, as well as the representatives of international organizations, including

Secretariat of Eurasian economic community and International union of economists.
The purpose of the Eurasian economic club of scientists is to unite the efforts of the economic scientists and experts, as well as the public representatives in solving economic development issues, assisting and contributing to economic and social progress of the international community, creating conditions for mutual exchange of ideas, experiences, knowledge in organization and management on macro and micro levels.

A resolution was prepared as a result of the Organizational committee session, which contained a request to Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev from all the participants to give consent to his election as the Honourable President of the “Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists” Association”. In addition, the participants stated a wish to hold the first constituent assembly of the Association at the end of June, 2008, during the celebrations of 10th anniversary of the Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.
